| Pokémon: Emerald Version Reviewed by Tim Velgos, Lead Games Tester, The Review Zone.com Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire grabbed the attention (and many hours of time) of true Pokémon fans, including myself. The new Emerald Version is different.. Now you might be wondering.....what's the difference? A green box? A different Pokémon on the front? It's true that it has the same.....core of the two, but Pokémon: Emerald Version has some added places, and a few new features. One new feature is the Battle Frontier. To get to it, you have to beat the game first. But you'll see why.....it's full of tough trainers which require strategy and determination to defeat. I won't reveal the specifics since you should discover this yourself. Pokémon: Emerald Version has some different Pokémon locations, as well as the chance to catch all three legendary Pokémon where you could normally catch only two in Ruby/Sapphire. Which legendary Pokémon? Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. There is also compatibility betweeen Ruby/Sapphire, AND Fire Red/Leaf Green, for a chance to complete your whole collection! You can also use the game link and trade Pokémon with your buddies or use the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter to trade up and battle between the different versions. Start your journey to become the best Pokémon trainer there is...today! Don't forget to catch the Wild Pokémon along the way. They're hiding in some pretty strange places. You can even give them cute and fuzzy nicknames (if you want!). So little time, so many places to explore in Pokémon: Emerald Version. C'ya! |
